If you haven’t yet heard of the green matcha powder that’s been making everyone’s headlines right now, we present it to you in an exclusive recipe! This is a fine powder straight from the tea leaf. Growing in the shade of this tea allows the plant to produce more caffeine and theine. This gives matcha green tea its ability to give those who consume it the energy they need.
Matcha green tea is traditionally grown in Japan, where it has been consumed for hundreds of years during tea ceremonies. However, we note that in recent years its use has been extended to latte tea. The mixture of matcha green tea and milk gives a creamy and unctuous texture that will please you.
Combined with vanilla and nutmeg, this tea latte will be an original and perfect way to enjoy all the benefits of matcha green tea.
Ingredients
200ml cold milk
8 ice cubes, or enough to fill the glass
A pinch of nutmeg
5g of Organic Matcha Powder
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Preparing the tea latte
1- Place the ice cubes in a tall glass. Fill with cold milk, taking care to leave room for the matcha green tea layer.
2- Then add the nutmeg and vanilla. Mix.
3- In another glass or in a carafe, beat the matcha tea powder and vanilla extract in 30ml of boiling water using a whisk or a small mixer until there are no more lumps.
4- Gently pour the matcha green tea mixture on top of the milk and ice cubes. A distinct layer should form on top of the milk.
