This has to be our favorite of all. Yes, we went all out and turned the Irish Coffee into a protein shake (don’t worry, it’s alcohol-free).
Irish Coffee is a cocktail made with hot coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar and a cream filling. It is a winter drink that is usually reserved for special occasions. Well, now you can enjoy this flavor any time of the day.
We thought we’d make the ultimate protein treat with this brand new flavor in a super easy protein truffle recipe. Using just a handful of natural ingredients and our zero calorie Flavdrops for a little vanilla flavor, perfect to have on hand when the cravings hit.
Ingredients
– 1 scoop of Impact Whey Protein (Irish Coffee)
- 200g 70% dark chocolate
- 200ml coconut milk
- 2 drops of Flavdrops (Vanilla)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Preparation
1- First, place the dark chocolate in a bowl.
2- Next, heat the coconut milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once hot (but not boiling), pour the milk into the bowl over the chocolate.
3- Add Flavdrops and Impact Whey Protein Irish Coffee. Let sit for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to melt, then stir to combine well.
4- Put the bowl in the fridge and let it sit for 1 hour. Once firm, use a spoon and your hands to roll the ping pong ball sized truffles.
5- Sprinkle or roll in cocoa powder, then enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for later!
