4 Lemon balm
Its lemony scent has earned it the nickname “lemongrass” but also that of “lemon grass”, or “bee pepper”. This plant, cousin of mint, is ideal for regaining calm and facilitating digestion. She will come :
reduce stomach cramps and gastric reflux;
help digest fats;
relieve bloating and gas;
facilitate the biliary function of the liver by its antispasmodic properties.
5 Peppermint
It goes well with lemon balm. In her book “The Intelligence of the Belly”, Dr Irina Matveikova reports the opinion of researchers for whom “peppermint is among the first-line drugs in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, if, however, that – this is not accompanied by diarrhea or constipation ”.
6 Nettle
Nettle leaves and their pungent hairs contain acids, flavonoids and chlorophyll. These active ingredients provide astringent, depurative and diuretic properties. Nettle is suitable for:
calm digestive disorders;
soothe symptoms of irregular bowel movements or stomach ulcers.
Hildergarde de Bingen, a naturalist and visionary of the 12th century, recommended it against intestinal worms.
7 Angelica
Angelica contains a molecule, archangelic, which guarantees aperitif (stimulates the appetite), stomachic and diuretic properties. This plant is adapted to times of difficult digestion and you might appreciate it associated with lavender. It is effective against:
gastric acidity;
bloating;
aerophagia.
