Going on a diet doesn’t work
Maybe you have experienced it yourself … You go on a diet, everything seems to be going well at first, but sooner or later you will fall back into old habits and regain the lost kilos just as quickly.

95% of people who start a diet are back at the same weight or even heavier a few years later.

Dieting or dieting does not work if you want to lose weight. It works temporarily, but in the end all that yo-yo in weight is only bad for your health and your self-confidence.

Diets are way too strict. They make losing weight difficult and unnecessarily tedious. In this article I propose a much nicer alternative.

Losing weight is fun!
Many people think of fighting, fighting, suffering, fighting and all kinds of other negative terms when it comes to weight loss.

That is a shame, because losing weight can be so much fun and enjoyable!

After all, you are working on a healthier and more beautiful body. Isn’t that supposed to be fun?

It may not be your first thought when you think about losing weight, but with the right tips, it will be a very pleasant experience.

Adjusting nutrition and lifestyle does work
Diet and lifestyle are the two big factors that influence your weight. Of course your genes too, but much less than people often think.

What you eat and drink in a day, and how much you sleep, exercise and relax, largely determine how much body fat you have.

You have complete control over this yourself!

Of course it is not always easy. You will encounter plenty of challenges on your path to a lean and healthy body. But that is why we are there to guide you on that path.

Slimming Tips That Really Work
Below are 10 tips that will help you lose weight. These are tips you can apply today.

Read the 10 tips below carefully and see which tips you can apply. Sometimes a small adjustment can cause you to suddenly lose weight.

Tip 1: Eat more fiber
Fiber is important food for your intestines. They help keep the intestinal wall healthy. Did you know that your intestinal wall consists of almost 1.5 kilos of live bacteria, yeasts and fungi?

And those microorganisms that live there are extremely important to your health. They help you absorb the nutrients from your food.

By eating enough fiber, you absorb more nutrients from your food and therefore you are less hungry and you automatically eat fewer calories (without having to go hungry!)

Tip 2: Drink water 30 minutes before a meal
You may never have realized it, but a feeling of hunger and a feeling of thirst are very similar. So much so that many people confuse it on a daily basis.

They think they are hungry, but they are actually thirsty.

By always having a glass of water before a meal, you avoid getting thirsty while eating and then trying to “eat away” a thirst.

So you will eat less quickly, and that will help you lose weight faster (without having to put in extra effort!)

Tip 3: Eat varied and unprocessed
Much of the food we eat today comes from the factory. It’s full of corn, soy, grains and sugar. That may not sound so bad, but it has made our diet very one-sided.

And too much of the same is never good!

Especially not from corn, soy, grains and sugar because these substances can cause a lot of damage to your body when used excessively.

By using much more natural and unprocessed ingredients, it is much easier to eat a varied diet. For example, there are dozens of different types of vegetables available every season and hundreds of different herbs and spices.

To make it easy to follow a natural and unprocessed diet, I have put together Jasper’s shopping list.

Tip 4: Go to bed with a slight hunger
No diet mentions the importance of sleep in weight loss. But this is very important.

For example, during your night’s sleep you produce the hormones that your body needs to burn body fat during the day. If you don’t sleep well, it is much more difficult to lose weight during the day.

Eating before bed makes it much more difficult for your body to make the right hormones (and repair tissue) – so you can lose weight during the day.

This knife cuts both ways, because by not eating anything for a few hours before going to sleep, you also get fewer calories.

Go to bed with a slight hunger, then losing weight will be much easier.

A cup of tea or glass of water before going to bed is no problem, but try soda too

Tip 5: Don’t eat too often
Every time you eat something, your body has to work to digest your food. Numerous processes are set in motion when you take a few bites.

Your immune system is activated, your organs start to produce certain substances, your intestines are activated and much more.

Your body can handle all that activity very well, but if it has to turn everything on 5 to 7 times every day, it will lead to problems much faster.

You can always eat something when you are hungry (because going hungry is not fun), but try not to have a meal too often.

For your health, it is best to just eat a healthy meal 3 times a day.

For people who do intermittent fasting, this may be even less (but it doesn’t have to).

Tip 6: Get enough sleep
In tip 4 you have already learned that sleeping is extremely important if you want to lose weight healthily. Besides going to bed with a slight feeling of hunger, it is of course also important that you get enough sleep.

Sleep about 7 to 8 hours a night. Sleep in a dark, quiet, cool, tidy room and leave the TV, your laptop, phone or tablet outside the bedroom.

Try to be in bed by 11am and get up at 7am. That is very close to our natural rhythm.

You will see that after a week in this rhythm you no longer need an alarm clock to wake up.

Tip 7: Chew your food well
To ensure that your body gets the most nutrients from your food, it is important that you chew your food well.

About 25 times per bite is somewhat the average.

The nutrients are absorbed better and you eat a lot calmer, so you automatically consume fewer calories.

Don’t try to eat at your desk, laptop or TV, but just at the table. At first this can feel a bit boring, but you get used to it very quickly.

Tip 8: Exercise enough

To lose weight it is important that you exercise enough. Sports are allowed, but that is not always necessary.

Much more important is that you exercise regularly during the day. Avoid sitting still for periods longer than 50 minutes.

At work, take a detour if you go to the bathroom or pass the printer, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Those are things that really help.

Exercise is healthy and can certainly promote weight loss, but only do a sport that you enjoy. Play tennis, swim, play volleyball or fitness. But only do it if you like it.

Cleaning, ironing, unloading the dishwasher and scrubbing the floor are also very good activities with a lot of movement. So they count too!

Tip 9: Avoid chronic stress
Chronic stress is a major health and weight problem for many people.

Not only does stress induce binge eating in many people, but it also causes so-called low-grade inflammation (cytokines) in the body.

This means that chronic stress continuously causes problems in the body. One of those problems is that you become insulin resistant (IR) much faster. And insulin resistance contributes to the storage of extra body fat.

So relax yourself regularly! Do work that gives you satisfaction and regularly treat yourself to a day of rest or a rest evening. Just a day or evening where you don’t have to do anything and can do whatever you want.

Tip 10: Take a scoop of protein powder daily
It has often been scientifically proven that eating enough protein ensures that you feel full faster.

This means that by eating protein you are less hungry.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to take a scoop of pure protein powder every day.

Always choose a whey protein (isolate) without flavor. This means that there are no unnecessary additives in addition to protein.

This is the protein powder that I use every day, it is micro and cross filtered and therefore contains almost no lactose. And the price is also attractive.

Bonus tip: Go up in an upward spiral
As you can see, losing weight really isn’t as annoying as many people think. That belief really stems from the diet era. It has long since passed.

It is therefore not necessary at all to lose weight quickly, after all, it is not annoying at all.

By taking the time to lose weight, you increase the chance that you will really keep the pounds off for good. And it is a lot better for your health (and reduces any excess skin after weight loss).

Therefore, as a bonus tip: take the time to lose weight, apply the tips above step by step and go up in an upward spiral!
